Broads Control update - Christmas cover

By Adrian Vernon, Head of Ranger Services

Rangers, standby staff and a duty manager provide cover over the Christmas period. The area is still patrolled by vehicle and by launch, and moorings are checked for general safety and for over-stayers.

There were some strong winds and trees were down at Filby boardwalk, Whitlingham, Carrow Bridge and Lime Kiln Dyke. There was also a call to a seal pup at Berney Arms moorings. It was checked, advice obtained and the pup was gone the next day.

There were a couple of thefts of outboards from the mid-Waveney area.
