Control update - a quiet week

By Adrian Vernon, Head of Ranger Services

For anyone looking for an unusual Christmas present two of the traditional ranger patrol launches will shortly be coming up for sale, just in time for the festive season. Watch this space!

Last week rangers were mainly been focusing on investigating alleged toll offences while also providing escort for flood alleviation work in preparation for winter.

A depth and vegetation survey was also undertaken on the middle Bure area and tree work continues on the Waveney and Bure..

A navigation post snapped off near the waterline on Barton Broad and was marked by the rangers. Divers will be used to cut off this and another post at bed level.
